Night at the Museum
The National Museum of Women in the Arts’ Spring Gala was awash in vintage garden charm with spring green linens, boxwood topiaries, roses, poppies and peonies.
The menu focused on seasonal ingredients with a French flair including a “pique nique” first course complete with individual wicker picnic baskets of ficelle bread; and spring hen with the season’s best vegetables like asparagus, morels, new potatoes, peas and butter-poached radishes. A light fraise des bois and sweetened chèvre tart served with pistachio ice cream completed the pretty, Provençal meal.
