The Mellon Auditorium was transformed for a very unique double birthday party that took guests on a whirlwind tour of deserts, woodlands and crystal caverns. The hosts kept the scope and style of their party plans secret so guests were delighted at every turn as the magical evening unfolded.
Prosecco Cocktails with Blackberry Lemonade and a splash of Creme de Violette Liqueur and Pear Martinis were offered with an array of autumny Hors d’Oeuvres. Guests moved into the Auditorium for dinner under a lush canopy of live trees, greens and flowers. Onyx chargers, etched goblets, twig-patterned flatware, church linen napkins and chace taper candles set an enchanted woodland tone.
After dinner servers used lanterns to usher guests to the performance area where a surprise private concert was revealed. It was a magical evening full of unexpected delights and sweet surprises time after time.
